Welcome to The Old Stamp House, a Michelin-starred restaurant nestled in the heart of the Lake District. Housed in the former office of William Wordsworth, the famous English poet, our restaurant showcases the food and cultural heritage of Cumbria.
Opened in 2014 by brothers Ryan and Craig Blackburn, The Old Stamp House has attracted attention and won accolades, including the Cumbria Life Restaurant of the Year and a Michelin star in 2019.
Our cuisine is influenced by the local landscape and the historic seafaring trade with the Americas, Caribbean, and India. Chef Ryan Blackburn creates innovative dishes using locally sourced ingredients and imported spices.
